As you may know, Milton Keynes has been heralded the UK’s newest and most dynamic city due to its growing population of more than 227,800 people and 10,000 businesses.

And at the heart of this is Milton Keynes Theatre - a theatre and entertainment centre of excellence in the region, managed by the Ambassador Theatre Group, itself the second largest theatre group in the UK.

And what a theatre it is.

Opening on 4 October 1999, after a 25 year campaign to get a new theatre bulit, our 1400 seat auditorium, with its fully retracting ceiling that provides a more intimate viewing experience, makes every visit memorable. And let’s not forget the shows themselves. We offer a wide and varied programme of first class dance, drama, musicals, opera, comedy and children's shows – perfect for all ages to enjoy.

  • Wicked

Winner of 90 international awards, Wicked has been casting its magical spell over audiences of all ages across the world for a decade.

  • Till the Cows Come Home

Harvey Granelli is fed up working for Thistledale Council. He followed his miserable mother into local government, but he has more in common with his Italian father – part-time playboy and one-time ice-cream maker, Romeo.

  • Dirty Dancing - on Tour

It's the summer of 1963, and 17 year old Frances 'Baby' Houseman is about to learn some major lessons in life as well as a thing or two about dancing.

  • Shrek - The Musical

Join Shrek, our unlikely hero, and his loyal steed Donkey as they set off on a quest to rescue the beautiful Princess Fiona

  • Oliver - Wolverhampton

For the last 78 years, South Staffs Musical Theatre Company have performed at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre. Following their highly successful productions, they are again set to delight audiences, this time with the fun family favourite, Oliver!

  • Troupers

It’s 1914. British entertainment is down on its uppers. Actor-manager Lena Ashwell (OBE) has a theatre but no audience.
